...from driving nice cars. It's -15°C today in Toronto, slush all over, and I saw two Porsche Boxsters on the road. The U of T Vantage is still to be seen around, someone is flaunting their new 991 Turbo S in this snow, and it hasn't stopped a GT-R from getting out too. And, there's someone in a matte black C63 AMG Coupe on campus who drives around in the snow every day. The fact that he hasn't wrapped it around a tree is amazing.

It's definitely ballsy. A few weeks ago when we had a bunch of snow I saw a guy driving his Bently Continental around. Granted it was probably AWD, accidents still happen.

I've seen the same here. I'd imagine on snow tires, that would be an awesome snow vehicle. It also reminded me that I saw a 1-Series M on the same day (this was in early January, mind you).

My buddy drives his 1000 hp Weistec C63 in the snow with Blizzaks on S550 rims. He says it works. I say he's crazy. And then I agree it works.
Also, if by some unholy course of events I was forced to live forever in the winter, I would definitely buy a Turbo S and tear shit up. No better car for it.

With snow tires those are borderline unstoppable in the snow.

Even with his insistence that it works, I think I'd clench up a bit if I rode shotgun in the snow... although that sounds amazing.

I've seen more classic cars driving around on a snowy winter's day vs a sunny one, I guess they want to get the most out of the hoonage.

The person in the C63 either has some of the biggest balls on the planet or is a complete idiot.

As my German girlfriend has taught me, where you are pretty much required to get some winter tires by law, driving in bad weather in fast cars isn't so tough when you aren't a moron.

Oh ya I believe it. If I were driving a car like that around in bad weather, I'd be more scared of other people crashing into me! Fun to see crazy cars driving around in bad weather, but not worth the risk in my opinion.

This guy was in the garage when NJ got hit pretty hard the other week

Eh I would say that an R8 or a modern AWD Lamborghini would also be up there for best snow terrorist.

They might actually be good drivers. At this point i'm more worried about driving around in bad weather because of other people's inability to drive.

Whoa 1 Series M? That's where I draw the line. That car shouldn't be mistreated like that.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for a second (because I wouldn't drive one in the snow). For the most part, it was stop-and-go traffic. The chassis is well sorted enough that with snow tires, it should be able to drive through Toronto without much problem. I'm unsure how serious the threat of rust is on current German cars, but I'm sure it was less than what it was ten years ago. They could get away with it.
That being said, I'd get a winter beater too.

Not only that, but those are collectors cars, it's like driving an M1 around in snow tires in the snow. It's just wrong.

Yeah those work too. Turbo is a nice size though, and seems like the most practical. But having an Aventador winter beater would probably be almost the coolest thing in the world.

Haha the one time I was in it while snowing it was a bit...clenching. That's the best word to use.
